Integrated Data Management System (IDMS)

IDMS is a comprehensive, interoperable digital system that facilitates seamless data sharing between government offices and efficient publication of public interest data. It tackles the problems local governments face today: scattered digital systems, repeated data entry across disconnected tools, inconsistent data standards, and no simple way to turn municipal data into something citizens can actually use.

For governments, IDMS reduces duplication, improves data quality, and acts as a single gateway for reporting and a centralized data warehouse. For citizens, it means faster access to information, ready-made resources for analysis, and data that supports better decisions. The system is already live in municipalities including Birgunj, Tulsipur and Lekbeshi, supported through OKN's local government data fellowship programme.
