School of Data Nepal

School of Data Nepal is where Open Knowledge Foundation Nepal turns its open data work into everyday skills. It runs short, practical courses across three connected literacies: digital literacy (staying safe and confident with everyday tools), data literacy (finding, reading and questioning data), and AI literacy (using AI critically, from prompting to spotting misinformation).

Courses like Open Data Fundamentals, Data Visualization, Gender Data 101 and Everyday AI are built from a decade of training rooms across Nepal and are free and openly licensed, so any teacher, journalist or community leader can pick them up and run their own session. Recent applied projects include a bilingual AI literacy pilot with a Lalitpur ward office and a digital onboarding programme for micro entrepreneurs in Dhangadhi.
