Nikesh Balami is a civic entrepreneur, open data advocate, and tech researcher. He serves as the co-founder and CEO of Open Knowledge Nepal. A passionate supporter of open source software, Nikesh believes in the power of Open Knowledge to empower citizens through technology and open data. Outside of work, he enjoys coffee chats, tweeting, hackathons, blogging, traveling, and all things related to open data.
Kshitiz Khanal is the founding Chairperson of Open Knowledge Nepal. He is currently pursuing a PhD in City and Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research focuses on the applications of machine learning and spatial analysis in energy and water utility planning. He has a background in engineering and energy planning. He has been involved in open data research, training, and advocacy for over 10 years.
Prakash Neupane is a co-founder and board member of Open Knowledge Nepal, serving as the organization's strategic leader. In this role, he helps develop plans, build strategies, and oversees their implementation, evaluation, and adjustment as needed. Prakash began his journey in open knowledge as an Ambassador, and with his visionary leadership, the team continues to achieve its core objectives.
